Engaano Millers Ltd, is another agro-processing company within the Sarrai Group, producing wheat flour, bread and animal feeds. The company was brought under the group umbrella as a result of it going into receivership in 2004 and now employs over 800 people.


Engaano Millers houses some of Uganda’s oldest and most endeared brands, the most famous being Tip Top bread, the first bread brand to be produced during colonial times in 1956, was revived under the new ownership. Today, the milling plant has grown to produce 30,000MT of wheat flour making it the 3rd    largest miller of flour in Uganda. The flagship wheat flour brand is Drum, a premium baking flour which commands 22% of the market. Nuvita, its animal feeds brand, is a household name in its sector.
